The group began by taking vision of robotic structures already made in the world, to take inspiration and devise a feasible project.
The group has therefore opted for a structure with three inflatable sections to define the movement similar to that of a caterpillar, the electronics will be placed above the central section and will be divided into the various key components for the controlled inflation of the main structure in silicone. Inflation, as defined by the 3d model, is implemented by a series of solenoid valves that will receive air from a self-built pump. An Arduino nano will act as the controller for the structure and receive pulses for movement from a Bluetooth controller.
